The Irkutsk Division of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences was established in accordance with the Resolution of the Presidium of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences № 135 dated 04.04.2019.
The objectives of the Irkutsk Division of the Siberian Branch of RAS are as follows:
– scientific and methodological guidance carried out in interaction with the Presidium of SB RAS, scientific and scientific-educational organizations located on the territory of Irkutsk region;
– enhancing the interaction between the above-mentioned organizations and real economy sector organizations in the region;
– representing the interests of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the region in cooperation with regional bodies and organizations;
– representing the interests of the region’s scientific community in other structures determined by the Statute of the Irkutsk Division of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Management bodies of the Irkutsk Division of Siberian Branch of the RAS are the Academic Assembly of the Irkutsk Division of the Siberian Branch of the RAS, Presidium of the Irkutsk Division of the Siberian Branch of RAS and Director of the Irkutsk Division of the Siberian Branch of the RAS. The Presidium of SB RAS decides on the list of scientific organizations and institutions of higher education, in the scientific and methodological guidance of which the Irkutsk Division of SB RAS participates.
The division follows the Constitution, the Civil Code and the laws of the Russian Federation, other normative legal acts of the Russian Federation, statutes of the RAS and SB RAS, resolutions of the General Meeting of Members of the RAS, General Meeting of SB RAS, resolutions and orders of the Presidiums of the RAS and SB RAS in its activity.
The division is not a legal entity. Business activity of the Irkutsk Division of Siberian Branch of the RAS is carried out on behalf of the Siberian Branch of RAS within the authority granted by the Chairman of SB RAS. The branch has seals, letterheads and stamps with its name.
